The first and most important part of selling on Ebay is sourcing your products. Everything else is just details. Early on, to find products I used to search google over and over using different terms and scrolling through hundreds of pages. Now though I am slightly wiser and have developed a multi-search technique. Don't use just one search engine. All search engines rely on different algorithms to rank their results, meaning that on MSN the 3rd result for "buy wholesale" will only be ranked 974 on Google, and vice versa. If you don't know, the three main search engines are in this order, Google, Yahoo, and MSN. You might also like to try some of the smaller ones as well. Don't just look at the first results. These will consist of the websites that have optimised their keywords for the term buy wholesale'. The consequence of this is that you will miss the hundreds of other wholesalers out there. I recommend using the advanced search feature, which will allow you to look at more then 10 results at a time. Take advantage of the main industry websites. These are www.wholesalecentral.com and www.wholesalegopher.com. Have you heard of Dmoz? The largest human edited directory. They have indexed a wealth of wholesale resources, and best of all none of the websites listed have paid to be included, so their not advertisements. The wholesale link is http://www.dmoz.com/Business/Wholesale_Trade/. These strategies are still time consuming, so my advice is to purchase a wholesale directory. The industry standard drop ship directory is listed on my website, along with several of the best wholesaler's and dropshipper's in the industry. |
