Adversity An Advantage

To quote William Hazlitt,

"Prosperity is a great teacher; adversity a greater."

We can always learn more from challenging times than from good times. When adversity strikes it is hard to imagine that anything good will come of it. Some people allow adversity to stop them in their tracks. They choose to allow the adversity to control their lives rather than taking action to overcome adversity.

Adversity is the catalyst that forces us to stretch. It propels us to find solutions to problems we never would have considered if not for adversity. Many innovative ideas have come as a result of people facing adverse times.

Adversity can provide the fuel that sparks new strengths we didn't realize we had within us. Adversity can bring out the best in us if we keep an open mind and look for solutions to our issues.

How we cope with adversity is also a learning experience. There are times in all of our lives where we have handled adversity well, and times where we have not.

Next time adversity strikes, remember, you can use it to your advantage by learning from it. And applying our learning can help us prosper in our lives.

Let adversity allow you to prosper in your life!
