Virtual Help For Caregivers

If you are-or know-a baby boomer caring for a parent or other loved one, you're not alone. More than 50 million adults in the U.S. care for an aging or ill relative and this number is projected to rise to 75 million in 2007. That's nearly one out of every four adults.

For many, the emotional, physical and financial obligations associated with caregiving can be overwhelming. Often, people don't know where to turn to gather necessary information on insurance and legal matters, medical conditions and daily care activities. The Internet has increasingly become the go-to resource for fast, reliable information and, for some, a virtual support group and community gathering place.

In response to this growing public need, Caring Today magazine, an authoritative source of information for more than 500,000 unpaid family caregivers, has launched a Web site designed to provide real-time information, practical advice and support to the burgeoning army of family caregivers. Visitors to the site can search new and archived articles written by medical and industry experts, monitor breaking news, and share their own stories of inspiration, love and encouragement.
