Americans Coming Together in a Common Cause

With all the hate talk and political character assassinating it is amazing how well the United States does really? But these personal attacks are not bringing us closer together, they are ripping us apart; open debate is one of the most essential parts of a strong and vibrant human civilization, yet we have taken it too far. How so you ask?

Well, in one regard such debate and discussion is what has made our Country the greatest nation in the history of mankind. But people have hit a new low and are not debating facts, they are debate BS and use attack style methods to do it, that is to say immediate juggler character assassination tactics.

It appears that we should be able to get back to open discussion and debate without the verbal abuse, mass media hysteria, character assassination and hate speech, that is in a perfect world. But when and if you can get everyone to sit down at the table, at the end of the day, we must play the hands we are dealt, not a Utopian non-existant dream.

That is not to say we should not work towards that potential eventuality of Utopia, but rather start today, where we are in reality and agree that the Utopia Concept is indeed the goal, whether we actually achieve such perfection in the present period is not the point. The point is the direction of travel and the perseverance to agree to press on not backslide into a footnote in the annals of human history of "Great Nations, which once were." (USA - see foot note 147). I hope you will consider this in 2006.
