HIPPA is a Waste of Trees

The new HIPPA law for privacy in Health Care sounded so wonderful indeed. Privacy is important to Americans, yet all HIPPA really did was thru more bureaucracy and inefficiency into an already top heavy, over regulated, drowning in paperwork Industry. Let me give you some examples because as a liberal you have no clue as to the problems these things cause.

If you take out a life insurance policy or a long-term health care insurance policy there are now already at least 6 additional pages in every agreement sent out, for HIPPA alone. I suppose the government feels that it helps provide jobs to lawyers and paralegals to make all this minutia, but have they considered the number of trees that have to be cut down and the detriment to our rain forests? The reason I ask is that the Democratic run lobbying firm on K-Street, also a law firm, which worked so very hard to rally liberal thinking citizens to send letters to their Congressmen to get this HIPPA thing passed are the same groups telling us to spare Bambis Forest.

So next time a liberal, lawyer or government agency tells you that one of their laws is some how going to save us all and provide more security, privacy or piece of mind, reach over and twist their nose. If they ask you why you did that, tell them; I am turning you off, we need to save the trees for our childrens future!

The fact is every time some law is made that is supposedly to benefit us all; all it really does is cost us additional money in administrative costs, more time to fill out and read forms or causes some other negative unintended consequence that we do not figure out until later. Thus causing another law to be made in an endless Tsunami and colossal sea of rules and regulations. Lawyers and Law Makers are not helping us; they are drowning us like those poor looters in New Orleans in a soup of sewage. Think about it.
