Is Your Business Dependant On Google Adwords?

Is this you? Are you relying solely on Google adwords for traffic. If it went belly up tomorrow what would you do'

Im not saying that Google is packing up shop and moving on, but what if the market changes suddenly (which on the internet can happen overnight.) What if suddenly the market becomes too crowded and dont find yourself on the first page anymore and you cant afford $1.00 a click, which truthfully speaking the majority of us cant unless were a big corporation or have a fantastic ROI.

To quote Perry Marshall- he said that Google adwords in the equivalent of crack cocaine because in a matter of minutes any of us can jump into any market and start business. It can be very addictive and if its not done properly you can max out your card in no time. Im not saying the adwords isnt a fantastic way of getting targeted traffic to your website but you should consider some of the old tried and trusted methods.

When you think about some of the old masters of internet marketing what did they do to get traffic and build their business before adwords came on the scene? They used articles, viral e-books, free reports and what ever methods they could to make sure their name popped up again and again all over the internet. Thats the reason we all of us know who they are. Jimmy D Brown often brings up the point that he never paid a penny in advertising in a couple of years because all the traffic he received to his websites was totally free traffic (which is the best of all!)

Sure these methods can be a pain to do, sitting down to write these reports and put them together but when you think about it those free books and reports are still out there in circulation, and bringing business back. Willie Crawford is reported to have said that he still gets sales from some articles he put out four years ago.

So the morale of the story is although adwords is a fantastic tool to have in your arsenal, but it should only be part of it. The other methods can take longer but.. Who said it was going to be easy?

Best of luck!
