Outsourcing Truck Washing for Trucking Companies

Trucking Companies have a real tough time washing their own trucks. Why you ask? Well consider trucking companies usually put their terminals 8-10 driving hours apart due to hours of driving rules and regulations from the Department of Transportation. It is much to costly to put in $250,000 to $300,000 truck washing bays at every terminal. Indeed then you have to also hire people to wash the trucks.

Additionally, labor is tough and illegal aliens hiring is a big no no. Any truck washer who has a drivers license is a potential truck driver for these companies. There is a shortage of truck drivers of over 185,000 by the end of 2006. Outsourcing truck washing to a series or chain of truck washes on the highway, which can get the trucks in and out quickly makes sense or hiring a mobile truck washing business also makes sense.

For 20-plus years our company TruckWashGuys.com washed fleets of vehicles and often fleets for large trucking companies. Each time we were told by dispatchers, tucking company executives and even the drivers; thank god you guys have this service. It is truly amazing how some logistical needs of a logistics company cannot operate without outsourcing at least some of its operations, consider all this in 2006.
