How does it all happen? This is a very important issue that I rarely see anyone discuss in detail. How does a does a person start from ground zero and acheieve a high level of success in network marketing? Here is my story . . . I graduated college in May of 2002 with a BS in Biology excited for what life had in store. I didn't know what I wanted to do, but I thought I wanted to go to med school to become a doctor. So I got a job as a sales rep in the medical field so that I could interact with physicians to get a better feel for what it would be like to be a physician before devoting the next 7 years of my life to achieving this end. In my first year on the job I found out two things. 1. Most doctors recommend that I do not go to med school. 2. The job I had wasn't something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. After hearing from many many physicians the downside of become a physician in today's world I decided to take there advice, but this left me with a problem . . . What was I going to do with my life? Well I went to a Real Estate Seminar sometime that first year out of college because I learned it was a great way to create wealth. At the end of that seminar an old bald man came up to the stage and started talking about how much money he was making online with simple websites. I was very very intrigued. Prior to this meeting I only saw the internet as a place to search for stuff. Seeing what this guy was doing and the type of results that he was able to generate was the most eye opening experience of my life. It caught my interest in a way that very few things in my life had ever done. I went home and immediately searched the internet for how to make money online. I started to buy every book on the subject that I could find and somewhere in the mix I cam across the subject of network marketing. Again I was impressed with the income potential and the entire dynamic of the business. I had found my starting point. I wanted to do be an internet network marketer. The problem I soon found over the next year and a half of trying to put the two together was the two markets were very exclusive. Want I mean by this is I could not find any credibly information on how to do both internet and network marketing together. I either found information on internet marketing or network marketing. And when I tried to do network marketing online my mentor pulled me of the internet and told me that buying and calling leads was the best way to build my business. Well . . . He was the successful one so I decided to just shut up and do what he said. I bought leads from the source he recommended and I ended up spending about $500 a month for the next 7 months on leads and spending 3 to 4 hours a night making cold calls. If I was to describe this experience in a few words . . . "It sucked" I was calling people that for the most part didn't care about starting a business and couldn't even follow through on a commitment to attend a sales call. Out of 7 months of faithfully calling leads I got zero people to join my business. I am and always have been a very determined person, so I wasn't willing to give up until I asked myself this simple question? "If I was to have someone join my business would they go through this long and painful process to get someone on their team?" I couldn't get pas the truth. The answer is no . . . 99% percent of people wouldn't do this and to get 100 people so that I could find that 1 person that would go through it all would take probably a hundred years. I needed to revise my marketing strategies to something that was easier faster and more duplicable. The internet was the obvious answer so I had to piece together what worked and what didn't and then wait until I found the right business to match my new model. (If it even existed) Well it did. About 6 months after piecing together my plan I found a business that went beyond what I had set as essentials and I immediately joined. I did a little advertising and within my first week I had over 30 people directly joined through me. Site unseen and without ever picking up the phone or calling a lead. I was floored, I guy that had never had any success in network marketing recruiting 30 people in a week is unheard of in my experiences, so I decided to put every ounce of me into the task of promoting this business and helping those that I brought in to achieve success even quicker than I had. The result is in little less than 8 months I now have a team of over 2450 people which grows by 10 to 15 people a day everyday, I make more than a full time income on a part time basis, and now every single day people call me excited because they want to do what I do. I'm not saying all this to say that to say that my business is the best business for you, but rather to say that I had to pay my dues to get to where I am and I think to some extend we all have to pay our dues.
